The co-location of these POWER events puts them in the unique position to safely offer what could be the first in-person power industry event covering the full energy value chain since the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted conference schedules.

HOUSTON, TX – DECEMBER 17, 2020

POWER announced today the decision to co-locate its Experience POWER (previously ELECTRIC POWER Conference & Exhibition) and Distributed Energy Conference (DEC) events in an effort to provide the opportunity for the power community to come together in a single location for conversation and commerce across the entire energy value chain. Both events are scheduled for October 18–21, 2021, in San Antonio, Texas.

“Planning the live events for October allows the time to have a detailed safety plan and procedures in place to keep everyone healthy,” said Matt Grant, vice president and group publisher for POWER. “Events have been closed for the last nine months and likely won’t open back up for several more months. We know the importance of bringing people together—especially a community as big as the power industry—and we want to provide that opportunity. Experience POWER (EP), now going into its 23rd year, has long been known as the premier destination for utility and generating companies. By co-locating the Distributed Energy Conference with it for 2021, we are creating the singular opportunity for end-users across the entire market to trade ideas and knowledge, take part in industry-growing conversations, and connect with the right suppliers at a crucial time,” he emphasized.

Experience POWER provides relevant and insightful educational content, covering new technology, market trends and future insight, plant operations and maintenance best practices, and much more. All fuel types and technologies are regularly featured, and experts from around the world capitalize on opportunities to network and learn from each other during the event.

The Distributed Energy Conference is focused on providing new perspectives for distributed energy power generators and their customers across the commercial and industrial, campus energy, utility, and district energy landscape. It has featured discussions about new distributed energy technologies, such as microgrids, the rise of energy storage, and advancements in wind and solar. The combination of DEC and EP offers attendees a lot of extra value.

Navigating the power and energy industry right now is more challenging than ever and POWER, EP, and DEC are committed to help our community do just that by being the only brand serving the market year-round across all channels, which we’ve done for more than 135 years. Registration for these events will open up in early 2021. For the most up-to-date information, visit the event websites at www.experience-power.com and www.distributedenergyconference.com.
