Showcase Match In Support Of Gamers Outreach To Take Place September 10th At The HyperX Esports Arena Las Vegas

NORWALK, CT – AUGUST 15, 2019

Xbox Game Studios, in partnership with the Esports Business Summit—the leading event for the global esports industry—announced that the launch of their highly anticipated new Gears of War title, ‘Gears 5’, will take place at the HyperX Esports Arena Las Vegas with a showcase match to support Gamers Outreach. The match will kick off the Esports Business Summit on September 10th and will pit two of the world’s best Gears teams- Ghost Gaming and Reciprocity against each other in a best-of-three escalation match. The teams will be playing for a custom Gamers Outreach GO Kart, to be donated to a hospital of their choice.

Ghost Gaming represents Gears Esports’ passionate Latin American fanbase with top players from Mexico and Puerto Rico. Ghost Gaming took second place overall at the recent Gears 5 ELEAGUE Invitational event in July and is looking to prove themselves once again, as the chance to dominate the ‘Gears 5’ Esports landscape looms.

Reciprocity is made up of some of the best North American Gears of War players. After an intense head-to-head match against Ghost Gaming at the Gears 5 ELEAGUE Invitational in July, Reciprocity took home third place, and are now out to seek revenge against the kings of Latin America.

The Gears Esports program is thrilled to bring these world-class players together in Las Vegas to compete for Gamers Outreach. Xbox is a proud Gamers Outreach partner and supports their efforts to bring games to hospitals across the United States and beyond. Gamers Outreach is excited to partner with The Coalition, the development studio team behind ‘Gears 5’, for the showcase match at the HyperX Esports Arena Las Vegas.

This showcase will be the first of many post-launch ‘Gears 5’ Esports competitive matches. The Coalition has announced an exciting new Gears Esports Pro League format, which along with amateur competitions, online play opportunities, and major open events, will provide opportunities for all skill levels.
