Kerry started Red 7 Media in 2002 with a vision to create and launch magazines and conferences in niche business categories. The company was named the fastest-growing privately-held publishing company in the U.S. by Inc. Magazine in 2007 and 2008. He has launched 5 magazines and 8 conferences/shows over the past 20 years and has appeared on Good Morning America, National Public Radio and the Money Radio Network to discuss marketing and promotion trends, and has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Investors Business Daily and numerous other business and news publications. Prior to founding Red 7 Media, Kerry was Group Publisher at Primedia, Inc., where he was responsible for editorial, business management and brand development for a group of 8 business publications, including American Demographics, Corporate Meetings & Incentives, and PROMO Magazine, which he founded in 1987. Kerry is a graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.

Diane Schwartz

SVP & Group Publisher, Media & Communications Group

Diane oversees the editorial, marketing, PR, sales and digital strategy of a rapidly expanding group, whose brands include PR News, CableFAX Daily, Cynopsis, Communications Technology and StudioDaily. In her 16 years at Access Intelligence, Diane has launched nearly three dozen conferences, newsletters, web sites, events, e-media ventures and ancillary products. A 25-year media veteran, Diane is on the board of the Specialized Information Publishers Association and on the Digital Media Committee of American Business Media and serves on numerous other PR, media and business committees.

Dan Hanover

Vice President, Event Marketing Group

Dan Hanover runs the largest network of event marketing content in the world, overseeing a print, web and face-to-face content portfolio that includes Event Marketer magazine, The Event Marketing Summit, EventTech and The Event Marketing Institute. He also leads the group’s corporate training practice, which produces executive training worldwide for marketing departments at such companies as Mercedes, Cisco, Intel, Microsoft, Coca-Cola Co., and Procter & Gamble. Before joining Red 7’s start-up executive team in 2002, he built his b-to-b media career working and growing high-performance properties at companies such as Penton, Lebhar-Friedman, and Nielsen.

Tony Silber

Vice President, Content 

Tony is vice president, content for Folio:, min, Expo, and PR News. Before becoming vice president of content, he served as general manager of Folio:, Min, Expo and Audience Development, overseeing sales and content strategy. He was part of the acquisition team at Red 7 Media that purchased Folio:, CM, and their related products in 2004. Before the acquisition, in 2003, Tony launched M10, the executive-level magazine and information service for the magazine industry. Prior to M10, Silber was publisher of Folio: and Circulation Management when they were owned by Primedia. Tony has also served as editor of Folio:. He has a bachelor’s degree in history from the State University of New York at Albany.

Amy Jefferies

Vice President of Marketing, Media/Communications Group

Amy oversees all operations, from marketing to social media to editorial, conferences, webinars, awards, guidebooks and online initiatives for the group. Since joining Access intelligence in 2000, Amy has managed a multitude of products and events in the media, cable and PR space. Before joining AI, Amy worked at AIIM International, where she was a marketer for the annual AIIM Tradeshow.

Leslie Bacon

Group Publisher, Direct Marketing Group

Leslie is the business owner/group publisher of AI’s brands serving cross-channel marketing professionals and multichannel/ecommerce professionals. Her brands include Chief Marketer, DIRECT, Promo and Multichannel Merchant, with product portfolios that include websites, e-newsletters, research reports, awards programs, rankings, educational webcasts, video, online directories, live events, as well as custom marketing services offerings. She enjoys building great teams, developing and launching new products, and employing data-driven testing of new approaches to improve customer engagement and conversion. Her responsibilities include conceiving new products and improving or retiring current products, to meet the needs of her targeted audience-- researching, developing, testing and executing; leading sales and marketing, content development, and audience development.

Cory Smith

Director of Tradeshows, Marketing & Media Group

Cory joined Access Intelligence in 2013 to manage and grow the LeadsCon Community, the leading source of business information for the performance marketing and Lead Gen industry. Cory is a veteran of twenty-two years in business media having managed two Tradeshow Top 100 events and recognized for having managed two of the fastest 50 growing events in the industry. Prior to joining AI Cory was the Director of Events at Mining Media International, where he was responsible for launching new events and growing a portfolio of seven conferences and tradeshows in the mining and construction marketplace. Prior to his role at Mining Media International, he served as Vice President of Events for both Nielsen Business Media and F+W Media. In these roles, he managed several industry leading events: Kitchen/Bath Industry Show, Medtrade, and the HOW Design Conference. Cory is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a BBA in Risk Management/Insurance.

Steve Cohn

Editor-in-Chief, min

Steve Cohn has been editor of min since June 13, 1986. It was a Friday, but no bad luck, as Steve has produced close to 1,500 issues over the past 28 years. Be it past or present, min’s strength is giving readers the “rest of the story” on the magazine industry, which is why min has been cited and Steve has been quoted numerous times in print, radio, and television. That min is a must read for its advertising-page boxscores, circulation analysis, best- and worst-selling covers, women’s fashion-magazine fall and spring previews, and Steve Smith’s Eye on Innovation insights is why its renewal rate has been consistently above 70%. Cohn was promoted to min editor-in-chief in August 1998, and in March 2006, many in the magazine elite helped him celebrate his 20th anniversary. He was fêted for his 25th anniversary in July 2011.

Jeff runs the sales operations behind the world’s largest portfolio of products serving the event industry. He joined Access Intelligence’s Red 7 Media division in 2005 as an account executive on Event Marketer magazine and Event Design magazine. He later was promoted to National Sales Director. In 2011 he was tapped for his current role, in which he effectively manages day-to-day sales operations and executes growth initiatives across digital, social, print, and face-to-face properties. He began his sales career at 6FigureJobs.com and honed his techniques as an ad sales director at Media Ventures. He has a BA from the University of Connecticut.

Jessica Heasley

Group Editor, Event Marketer Group

Jessica joined the company in 2007 as a Senior Writer with Event Marketer magazine. She has since been promoted first to Associate Editor, then Executive Editor, overseeing editorial content and strategy for the magazine and website, and most recently, Group Editor. In 2010, she won an ASBPE award for a feature profile she wrote on Microsoft’s events department. That same year, Event Marketer was named a Top 10 finalist in the ASBPE Magazine of the Year competition. She also received a regional ASBPE award for her monthly editorial columns. Jessica began her career in marketing and events, where she spent 15 years in various management positions before pursuing a career in journalism. She earned her master’s degree with honors from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in 2007, and her bachelor’s from the University of Washington.

Editorial Director, FOLIO: The Magazine and min

Bill joined Access Intelligence in 2004 and has held a variety of positions within the Publishing Group, including senior editor for FOLIO:, as well as managing the transformation of Circulation Management to Audience Development, becoming executive editor of that publication and web site. Bill was previously executive editor of EXPO magazine, which serves the tradeshow and consumer event markets. Prior to joining Access Intelligence, Bill was editor of EContent, where he was instrumental in relaunching the 30-year-old magazine covering the digital content market. Before that, Bill was editor of Online, a trade publication serving information professionals in the online database and electronic information industry.

Michael Hart

Executive Editor, EXPO

Michael joined Access Intelligence in 2012 to guide the editorial direction of Expo, a multiplatform content provider that covers the event and trade show industry with a daily e-newsletter, website, print magazine and multiple events, conferences and webinars. Prior to joining Access Intelligence, Michael was editor-in-chief of Tradeshow Week for nine years. He has also held editorial leadership positions with 1105 Media, the Los Angeles Times and the Los Angeles Business Journal.
