ROCKVILLE, MD, July 5, 2011 -- Access Intelligence announced today the acquisition of Cynopsis Media LLC, the publisher of daily and weekly eletters for the television, digital media, kids marketing and sports media businesses. This marks the third acquisition in the past six months for Access Intelligence, which has considerably strengthened its leadership position in the media and communications markets by investing in strategic acquisitions while enjoying rapid growth with its existing brands.
Cynopsis Media publishes the Cynopsis daily covering the latest news in the TV business; Cynopsis Digital, Cynopsis Kids and the just-launched Cynopsis Sports. Additionally, it is one of the leading publishers of classified jobs in the TV industry through the Cynopsis Classified Advantage, and its Web site, cynopsis.com, is the business executive's destination for news, video, jobs listings and more covering the TV, entertainment, kids and digital markets.

In February, Access Intelligence acquired Red7 Media, which serves the events and media business through Event Marketer, Expo, Best Events, Folio and Audience Development. In January 2011, AI acquired OR Manager, the leading media brand and annual educational conference and trade show for operating room executives, managers and hospital directors.
Cynopsis Media rounds out Access Intelligence's Cable portfolio, adding a robust eletter business to its fold, and expanding into the fast-growing sectors of sports and kids marketing and entertainment.
