PR News Names Scott Van Camp its New Editor

New York, NY, November 16, 2009 -- PR News, the leading source for best and next practices in public relations, has named Scott Van Camp the Editor of the publication and its industry-leading PR resources and services.

Van Camp brings to PR News a rich background in both journalism and PR/marketing. He has more than 15 years’ experience as a writer/editor at various consumer and trade publications. He was with VNU Business Publications for five years, including stints as managing editor at IQ News and Technology Marketing magazines and senior editor at Brandweek. In the PR/marketing sphere, he has served as corporate communications manager at MarketBridge and as editorial director for the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Council. He has also operated his own communications and media consulting firm, SVC Communications. Van Camp takes the reins from Courtney Barnes, who led PR News as Editor for more than three years and has moved on to a new business opportunity.
