JEFFREY STEVENSON

Chairman

Jeffrey Stevenson has been Chairman of Access Intelligence for 16 years. He is the Managing Partner of the Private Equity firm VSS where he has overall responsibility for the management of the firm and each of its funds. Mr. Stevenson joined VSS in 1982, shortly after its formation, and founded its private equity business in 1987. VSS has managed 7 funds with $3 billion of committed capital under management, including 4 equity funds and 3 structured capital funds. Jeffrey is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vencerx Therapeutics. He also serves as a member of the finance committee for the not-for profit organization, Fraxa Research Foundation. He is involved with the following organizations: YPO/WPO, SBIA Board of Governors and Lincoln Center Leadership Committee. He serves on the board of Dojan TV Holdings, the leading media company in Turkey. Jeffrey holds a BA from Rutgers College.

DONALD PAZOUR

President & Chief Executive Officer

Don has led the strategy and growth of Access Intelligence for over 15 plus years, taking magazine-centric businesses and transforming them into an integrated media, event-driven, web-centric group of market-focused product clusters serving the media/marketing, energy/engineering, aerospace, and healthcare markets.

Don and his team have built the business through countless launches and 20 acquisitions that have been bolted onto and integrated into the Phillips Business Information newsletter and magazine platform that Veronis Suhler Stevenson bought from Tom Phillips in late 2000. Recent acquisitions include Red7 Media, Leadscon, Penton Media's marketing group,  AdMonsters and AdExchanger for media/marketing, Exchange Monitor events and information products that span the company's energy/aerospace groups, and OR Manager for healthcare. 

Before joining Access Intelligence, Don worked at Miller Freeman, a subsidiary of United Business Media, for 23 years. He was named CEO in 1997. 

Don is a frequent speaker at Folio: Magazine, American Business Media, Society of Independent Show Organizers and Specialized Information Publishers Association events. He is past Chairman and serves on the SISO Board.

HEATHER FARLEY

Chief Operating Officer

Heather is a senior level operating executive responsible for overseeing the operations and strategic direction across AI’s portfolio. She works closely with her division leaders to identify, acquire and integrate synergistic businesses as well as create strong organic growth through new product launches. Additionally, as a member of Access Intelligence’s Board of Directors, Heather plays an integral role in ensuring that the vision and mission of AI’s core strategic initiatives are successfully executed across all operating units. Heather is a recognized leader in the b2b community and sits on the board of  SIPA (Specialized Information Publishers Association) and SIIA (Software & Information Industries Association) and is often tapped for speaking engagements. In her tenure at AI, Heather has worked on more than a dozen acquisitions and countless product launches. Her expertise in both direct marketing and paid content have been instrumental in the company’s dynamic transition from a traditional b2b media provider to an integrated global media platform company comprised primarily of face-to-face events and online members-based communities. Prior to Access Intelligence, Heather was a senior vice president and group publisher with Phillips Publishing International, where she began her publishing career in 1988.

JAMES OGLE

Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Jim is responsible for all financial operations within AI. Prior to joining AI, he spent eight years with F&W Media, first as Chief Financial Officer, then four years as Chief Operating Officer responsible for finance, IT, administration and all operations. Prior to that, Jim was Chief Financial Officer at Cygnus Business Media, working with their private equity firm to establish budget and forecast discipline, upgrade systems and ultimately exit the business. Prior to Cygnus, he spent six years with Penton Media, as VP of Finance, assisting the company through a sale process and managing the integration of several acquisitions.  Prior to his time working with media companies, Jim worked for a Manufacturing and Direct Mail company and an on-line start up.  He received his Accounting degree from Sacred Heart University and became a CPA in 1996.

MACY FECTO

Executive Vice President,
Human Resources & Administration

Macy joined Access Intelligence in 2001 and is Executive Vice President for all functions within Human Resources including benefits, compensation, training and development, recruitment, HR systems, employee relations and policy and procedures, with a specialty in the area of acquisition, integration, and organizational development.  Macy also oversees corporate planning and facilities for all offices of Access intelligence. After working briefly for Commerce Clearinghouse as a Graphic Artist, Macy began her career with Miller Freeman in 1984 as a Personnel Assistant. She held various positions within Administration and Human Resources before being appointed Director of Human Resources in April 1995. In 1999, she was named Senior Vice President of Human Resources and joined the Miller Freeman USA board of directors. Macy joined Access Intelligence, LLC in January 2001. She is a former Chairperson of the ABM (American Business Media) HR Committee and in 2007 was named one of FOLIO:’s 40 most influential people.

ED PINEDO

CFO Emeritus

Prior to joining AI, Ed spent four years with Miller Freeman, first in London as Chief Financial Officer of Miller Freeman Worldwide plc., then two years with Miller Freeman, Inc in San Francisco as Chief Operating Officer responsible for finance, IT, production, circulation and administration. He also had operational responsibilities for Miller Freeman USA's Latin American portfolio. Prior to his employment with Miller Freeman, Ed was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Dallas-based United Advertising Publications, where he built the company from a $14 million business with seven publications to a leading consumer classified advertising business with over 300 publications and $350 million in revenues. Before that, he spent four years as Vice President of Finance and Operations for Vacation Internationale Ltd. He also spent seven years with a major public accounting firm. Ed has B.A.'s from Whitman College and Seattle University.

Kerry oversees the Marketing Communications Group, which includes Event Marketer, the Chief Marketer Group, Multichannel Merchant, LeadsCon and their related event and emedia businesses. Kerry joined Access Intelligence with the sale of his company, Red 7 Media, to AI in 2011. Kerry started Red 7 Media in 2002 with a vision to create and launch magazines and conferences in niche business categories. The company was named the fastest-growing privately-held publishing company in the U.S. by Inc. Magazine in 2007 and 2008. He has launched 5 magazines and 8 conferences/shows over the past 30 years. Prior to founding Red 7 Media, Kerry was Group Publisher at Primedia, Inc., where he was responsible for editorial, business management and brand development for a group of 8 business publications, including American Demographics, Corporate Meetings & Incentives, and PROMO Magazine, which he founded in 1987. Kerry served on the board of the Society of Independent Show Organizers (SISO) for 5 years, and serves his community as Fire Commissioner. He is a graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.

DIANE SCHWARTZ

Diane oversees the group, which includes Folio, min, PR News, Cablefax, StudioDaily and AdMonsters. In her 18 years at Access Intelligence, Diane has launched more than four dozen conferences, web sites, events, e-media ventures and ancillary products. A 25-year media veteran, Diane served on the board of the Specialized Information Publishers Association and on the Digital Media Committee of American Business Media and serves on numerous other PR, media and business committees. JENNIFER SCHWARTZ

SVP & Group Publisher, Aerospace, Energy & Healthcare Groups

Jennifer is responsible for the overall management and strategic business development efforts across AI’s Healthcare and Aerospace group, which includes such brands as Rotor & Wing, Via Satellite, Avionics, and OR Manager. She also evaluates and helps integrate key acquisition targets in the healthcare space. Jennifer has worked at Access Intelligence since 1997 and held previous publisher positions in the defense and energy groups. Jennifer successfully integrated the LDC Forum events into AI’s portfolio in 2006. Previously, Jennifer held sales and marketing positions in the telecom and banking industries. She has a BS degree in Marketing from the distinguished Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland. Jennifer also successfully completed ABM’s B-to-B Advanced Leadership Program at Northwestern University in 2012.

JENN HEINOLD

SVP, Events

Jenn oversees the tradeshow portfolios within AI’s aerospace, healthcare and energy groups, in addition to managing a centralized operations and logistics team that produces majority of AI’s tradeshows and events. Jenn joined Access Intelligence in 2006 to serve as the lead marketer for the SATELLITE Conference and Exhibition and relies on her marketing background and connection to the tradeshow attendee to drive her business. She has continually produced double-digit revenue growth within her portfolio by identifying market trends and analyzing data to improve performance. Jenn is most passionate about the power of face-to-face marketing and continuously strives to create value for the markets she serves by launching new events in under-served verticals, expanding the scope and content of current events to be relevant to a broader audience base and creating high-quality attendee acquisition strategies. If you want to see Jenn’s eyes light up, talk to her about acquiring events. She’s successfully integrated the OR Manager Conference and Offshore Communications (now OilComm) into AI’s event portfolio and both have doubled in size under her leadership. Before joining AI, she served as Marketing and Communications Manager of GovSec, U.S. Law and Ready! trade shows, produced by National Trade Productions. She is a member of the Society of Satellite Professionals International (SSPI), International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) and Society of Independent Show Organizers (SISO) and has completed ABM’s Advanced B-to-B Leadership Program. Jenn regularly speaks at tradeshow industry events and has presented at ExpoExpo, SISO Executive Leadership Summit, Shepard Sandbox and ECEF. She earned a B.A. in Journalism from Penn State University and returns to Penn State every year to guest lecture in their Event Management Course.

Rob has been with Access Intelligence since 2001 and currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Rob oversees Centralized Digital Services, Audience Development, Production, Network Operations and Technical Support, and he also chairs the company's RevTech Team which was created to focus on driving revenue growth. He previously served on the Technology Planning Committee for the Town of Rockport, Massachusetts, while serving as the Network Administrator for the Rockport Public School District. Rob also has a BA in Actuarial Science and a Master's Degree in Math Education from The Ohio State University and also successfully completed ABM's B-to-B Advanced Leadership Program at Northwestern University in 2013.

STEVE BARBER

VP, Financial Planning & Internal Audit

Steve has over 25 years experience in Accounting including Budgeting and Forecasting, Financial Analysis and Treasury Management. For the past 17 years, he has been responsible for all financial planning, analysis and internal auditing for Access Intelligence. Prior to joining AI, he managed the treasury functions at Dental Benefit Providers, served as Controller for Georgetown Publishing, and was a mutual fund accountant at Merrill Lynch and a mutual fund tax supervisor at Paine Webber Asset Management. He also helped start a joint venture between Thomas Publishing and General Electric Information Services, performing all aspects of Accounting, Facilities and IT Management. Steve has a B.A. in Business Administration from Rider University and is currently pursuing his MBA from the University of Maryland.

MICHAEL KRAUS

VP, Production, Digital Media & Design
Corporate Communications

Michael has been with Access Intelligence for 28 years and is responsible for web, e-letter, third-party and print ad operations and production; design for marketing and event collaterals, newsletters, magazines, digital editions, and mobile apps, electronic email operations and fulfillment as well as distribution and fulfillment of publications, both electronic as well as print.  Michael has a BA in Communications from the University at Albany (NY) and an MBA with a concentration in finance from the City University of New York's Baruch College. Michael began his career in publishing in Macmillan's College Textbook Division. Later, he was an editorial assistant at the The New York Law Publishing Company's Leader Publications, working on 17 monthly newsletters for the legal industry. He also spent time as a production editor for SportsInc, a Times Mirror magazine. Michael started at AI as an Assistant Production Manager for Chemical Week magazine and has held various titles before his current one, including Production Manager, Senior Director of Production, Director of Operations, and Vice President of Production & Manufacturing. Michael has appeared on the cover of Publishing & Production Executive, spoken and presented at MagazineTech and in 2013 was featured as the lead speaker at a FOLIO: webinar about driving efficiencies. Michael serves on our internal, 401(k) investment committee and also works with top management in crafting AI's messaging internally and externally as part of the Corporate Communications team.

GERALD STASKO, CPA

Vice-President, Corporate Controller

As Corporate Controller, Gerald is responsible for all accounting operations within AI.  Prior to joining the organization, he spent four years as Director of Finance with FC Dallas of Major League Soccer, and was responsible for finance, IT, and administration.  Earlier in his career, Gerald served as Controller for Austin Grill, a Washington, DC area restaurant group, as it expanded into Baltimore and Boston.  Gerald earned a B.S. in accounting from the University of Maryland.

NATALIE WAY

Director of Financial Reporting

Natalie began her career at Access Intelligence in 1994 as an Accounts Receivable/Collections Assistant. Over the last 23 years, Natalie has held many positions, including General Ledger Manager, and currently is the Director of Financial Reporting. She is responsible for external financial reporting, bank and tax compliance and reporting, cash flow forecasting, and financial systems support and integrations. Natalie is also involved in acquisition due diligence and contract review. She graduated from Bucknell University with a BS in Accounting.

J.  CURTIS MAJETT

Senior Director, Corporate Facilities, Real Estate & Telecoms

Prior to joining Access Intelligence, Curtis worked as a Roof Truss Design Engineer then later a Hardware Computer Technician installing restaurant hospitality systems throughout Northern, VA; Washington, DC and MD, he joined Access Intelligence 1993 as an Office Assistant. He later became Director of Facilities and Administrative Services, where he expanded his role to providing support services to all Access Intelligence offices. In 2000, he was promoted to his current position and his role was increased to managing all facilities and telecommunication-related matters for Access Intelligence globally, including our former offices in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Beijing, Zurich, London, and Menlo Park, CA, and including current offices in Rockville, MD; New York, NY; Houston, TX; Arlington, VA and Norwalk, CT.

MARY PINTO MEYER

Regional Human Resources Director

Mary plays a key role in: talent management, performance management, employee relations and engagement, succession and compensation planning. She has helped develop a new manager training program, a new time tracking system, onboarding and employee engagement surveys, and established extra company benefits. She acts as a business partner for the Marketing and Media Communications Groups as well as the Energy & Engineering division, and serves on our internal, 401(k) Investment Committee. Mary joined AI in 2005 having previously held positions in human resources departments at several financial services organizations, including Deutsche Bank, Thomson Financial and the Dreyfus Corporation. Mary has a BS in psychology from the City University of New York's Brooklyn College, completed the Diploma program in Human Resources Management at New York University, and has a Masters of Arts in Management, with a Concentration in Human Resources, from the American Public University System.
